Market surveillance after launch

In order to collect and analyse data about its products after market introduction,  Zimmer employs  a so-called Post Surveillance Program.

Zimmer continuously checks how its products are performing after market launch. For this Post Market Surveillance Program (analysis of the product on the market), clinical studies, literature and national registries are analysed, reported complaints and adverse events on the hospital side are checked and risk management is implemented.

Feedback from surgeons who utilize the products is desired and actively sought. The process stemming from the feedback and the subsequent investigations can lead to changes and improvements of the products, their surgical techniques and package inserts or the way Zimmer runs its product training courses.
